Happy Saturday!
Due to the cloudiness and cold temperatures struggling to reach the mid 40s, we broke a record low maximum temperature for today. The previous record at JAX was 45° back in 1970 and we only reached a high of 41° today.
A freeze warning has been issued tonight through early Sunday morning as inland temperatures are forecast to drop below 32°. Those west of I-95 should protect those sensitive plants tonight and remember the 5 P’s, pipes, plants, pets, people and practice fire safety.
Sunday will be about 10 degrees warmer in the 50s with sunny skies- wohoo! Another freeze watch has been issued for Monday morning as inland temperatures drop below 32° again.
We’ll continue the slight warming trend into Monday before showers return Tuesday.
