    China: 6 people go missing following mudflow in Yunnan province

    As many as six people went missing following a mudflow in China’s Yunnan province on Saturday. According to news agency Xinhua, the incident took place near a highway maintenance station at  around 1 am in Drung-Nu Autonomous County of Gongshan.

    India again registered a decline in its daily Covid-19 tally on Saturday after 1,260 infections were added in the last 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 4,30,27,035, according to the Union health ministry’s dashboard.     12 killed in explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city

    At least 12 people were killed and 25 others were injured in an explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city on Friday. 

    “The death toll of the blast in PD 12 of Herat city has risen to 12, with 25 wounded, provincial health officials said, saying the explosives were buried in a sports field and triggered as young people were playing,” a report by TOLO news said. 

    No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Another surge in fuel prices in India, 10th hike in 12 days

Petrol and diesel price today, April 2, 2022: According to news agency PTI, petrol and diesel prices have hiked by 80 paise a litre each, taking the total increase in their rates to 7.20 a litre.

Odisha teen jumps to death from hostel building over sexual harassment by headmaster

The SP said though an FIR is yet to be lodged by the deceased girl’s family, preliminary investigations revealed that the headmaster was harassing the girl for quite some time.
