PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) – Peoria fitness facilities The Yard, The House, and Sculpt Mode Bootcamp joined forces to become The Base Peoria. On Sunday, they signified their new beginning with a ribbon cutting event.
Many vendors and gym goers came out to the event. There were a few fitness competitions going on – winners got entered in raffles.
The House said they tried to cater to all different levels of fitness and expanding with two new facilities aided that.
“A Lot of people come into the gym setting and they’re looking for guidance. They know what their goals are but they don’t know what their goals are but they don’t know how to get here and we want to be that intermediate to help people reach their goals,” Manager of The House Joey O’Brien said.
Sculpt Mode owner Micheline Maloof said the idea came because they believed that fitness should be a community. Sculpt Mode and The House share a facility on North Sommer Street and The Yard is a short walk away. Allowing members from each gym to connect during their fitness journey.
“Having a home-a community of businesses- you can go over to The House and feel at home. You can come to Sculpt Mode and feel welcomed,” Maloof said.
The base has different bundles for memberships. You can click here to learn more.
