Suspicious package left outside Hoover fitness was tupperware – AL.com

A suspicious package left in front of a Hoover fitness center turned out to be tupperware.

Hoover police and firefighters were called to Crunch Fitness on U.S. 31 about 11:45 a.m. Thursday on a report of a suspicious package, said Capt. Keith Czeskleba. They learned that a disgruntled customer had left a brown box just outside the store.

Bomb technicians deemed the package was not a threat. The scene was cleared about 2 p.m.

Czeskleba said the investigation is ongoing. It’s not clear whether any criminal charges could be filed.
